Presidential Candidates Finally Take Blogging Seriously

November 14th, 2007  |  Published in Blogging  |  1 Comment

Barak Obama Vs. Ron PaulThe day has arrived when our presidential candidates are finally taking internet marketing seriously. Barak Obama proposes appointing a Chief Technology Officer if he is elected president.

This CTO would be in charge of making sure that the government uses cutting-edge forms of internet marketing like “blogging software, wikis and open comments” to communicate more openly and directly with Americans. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before all the major candidates unveil their own plans to utilize internet marketing platforms (which may possibly also include SEO and link building strategies).

What does this mean to realtors, brokers, and real estate companies? Well, if presidential candidates officially endorsing these online forms of marketing doesn’t get the point across that they are crucial to any effective modern-day marketing plan, we don’t know if anything will. So the time to set up a blog site (and more importantly, learning how to use a real estate blog effectively) was yesterday!

So what’s next? Are government officials finally going to pay SEO some attention?
